Data source and accuracy
The underlying data displayed on bankhealthdata.com is derived from the FDIC BankFind Call Report API. We do our best to process that data faithfully, but we make no representations or warranties — express or implied — about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability, or availability of any information, analysis, or related graphics.
Source records may contain errors, be incomplete, be reported late, or be restated by the issuing agency after publication. Where the source corrects a record, BankHealthData will follow on the next refresh — but there may be a lag. Always verify any figure against the original source before acting on it.
How we process this data: We pull the last eight quarters of FDIC Call Report filings for every insured institution and compute capital ratios, asset-growth rates, nonperforming-loan share, and coverage ratios against peer medians. The letter grade is a weighted composite of well-capitalized status, trend direction, loan-quality metrics, and liquidity.
Refresh cadence: Refreshed quarterly, within roughly 30 days of each FDIC Call Report filing deadline.
Known limitations of this source: Call Report data is self-reported and only audited by the FDIC on a periodic cycle, so late-cycle restatements are common. Credit unions file separately with the NCUA and are included through a parallel ingest; holding-company risk is not reflected unless it flows into the Call Report itself.
